Dietician

Coupled with nursing and food service department, Southwest Regional Rehabilitation Center employs a registered dietitian that works with the physician to provide nutritional support to patients and families. The dietian develops an individualized meal plan for each patient in accordance with the type of therapeutic diet ordered by the physician. Education is provided for patients and families regarding recommendations for following a therapeutic diet and understanding the importance of following the diet ordered by the physician after discharge. The dietitian continues to monitor various aspects of each patient's diet and intake throughout the rehab process.
