The Physical Therapy Department at Southwest Regional Rehabilitation Center consists of physical therapists, physical therapy assistants and athletic trainers who are well qualified and committed to the delivery of quality patient care. The physical therapy team works closely with each patient and family to reduce or resolve physical impairments, improve functional mobility, and return each patient to a maximal level of independence at home and in the community.

The physical therapist completes a thorough evaluation on each patient and works with the family and the entire interdisciplinary team to establish outcome goals and expectations for treatment. The therapist designs a comprehensive treatment program consisting of therapeutic exercise, functional retraining, and education. The physical therapy staff has access to the latest technology and state of the art equipment to meet the individual needs of each patient.

At discharge from the inpatient program therapists in collaboration with the physician, facilitate the referral process for patients who may benefit from home care or into our outpatient clinic for continued services.

Inpatient services are provided seven days a week. Outpatient services are available by appointment Monday through Friday from 8 AM to 5 PM.
