Mission Statement

Our sole business is rehabilitation. We will be known as a center of excellence for rehabilitation in our community and region. We will share our knowledge and expertise freely with all those who have a serious commitment to rehabilitation.

We will work cooperatively with other organizations and individuals to address the health care needs of individual patients and our community as a whole.

We will continually strive to improve the quality of care and we will demonstrate compassion, professionalism and commitment to our patients, staff and all those with whom we come in contact.

We acknowledge that our patients are complete human beings and will address their needs as such. We will maintain an atmosphere where patients and staff work in partnership to achieve mutual goals. Our patients will understand that they are at the center of the rehabilitation process and that they are guiding it based on goals they and their families set.

We will maintain a professional staff second to none. We will commit to the best possible ongoing educational training programs to assure this position.

We will make appropriate investment in our staff, facilities and equipment to ensure the best possible services to our patients and a strong future for our hospital. We will use the resources entrusted to us wisely to maximize benefits to our patients.

Philosophy

Southwest Regional Rehabilitation Center believes in the rights and dignity of all individuals. We are dedicated to providing patient care in a compassionate, caring manner in keeping with our values of respect, independence, quality service, inventiveness and service to our community. We believe that rehabilitation care should be accessible and available to all patients regardless of their sex, color, race, religion, national origin, handicap/disability or ability to pay. We further believe the rehabilitation plan should be tailored to the individual's needs and that each patient, their family and support system should be actively involved in the program. We strive to assist each individual in achieving their highest potential and return them to the community in the least restrictive environment.

Board of Trustees

Southwest Regional Rehabilitation Center's Board of Trustees is made up of representatives from diverse professional backgrounds, which serve as the governing body and perform all functions required of such body by regulations, applicable standards and the bylaws of the hospital. The Board of Trustees is comprised of the following individuals:

Management Team

The Management Team is comprised of staff that is responsible to assist the Board of Trustees and the Executive Committee of the Medical Staff in planning, directing, coordinating, providing and improving healthcare services in keeping with Southwest Regional Rehabilitation Center's Mission. Members of the Management Team responsible for patient care areas have authority and administrative responsibility for their respective departments. The following staff represents the Management Team:

Medical Staff

The Medical Staff of Southwest Regional Rehabilitation Center is organized and accountable to the Board of Trustees. The Medical Staff has the responsibility for the quality of medical care provided to patients and the ethical conduct and professional practice of its members.
