Accreditation

Southwest Regional Rehabilitation Center places significant emphasis on the quality of our services and the outcomes we achieve through the care provided at our facility. In support of these efforts Southwest Regional Rehabilitation Center is accredited by:

Joint Commission

This independent organization serves as a quality control intermediary. Rehabilitation programs are not required to be accredited by Joint Commission. Those that voluntarily accept their standards make quality service a top priority.

What it means to be accredited by the Joint Commission.

The Joint Commission evaluates and accredits nearly 19,000 health care organizations and programs in the United States. An independent, not-for-profit organization, the Joint Commission is the nation's predominant standards-setting and accrediting body in health care. Since 1951, the Joint Commission has developed state-of-the-art, professionally based standards and evaluated the compliance of health care organizations against these benchmarks.

Accreditation by the Joint Commission is recognized nationwide as a symbol of quality that indicates that an organization meets certain performance standards. To earn and maintain accreditation, an organization must undergo an on-site survey by a Joint Commission survey team at least every three years.

The Joint Commission's standards address the organization's level of performance in key functional areas, such as patient rights and the standards focus not simply on what the organization has, but what it actually does. Standards set forth performance expectations for activities that affect the quality of patient care to establish effective outcomes. The Joint Commission develops its standards in consultation with health care experts, providers, measurement experts, purchasers and consumers.

Southwest Regional Rehabilitation Center is accredited by the Joint Commission and is committed to quality patient care and safety.  We encourage our patients and their families to contact us with any concerns regarding patient care and safety by calling the Center at (269) 965-3206.

Anyone who believes they have a valid concern about organizational quality of care and / or the safety of the environment at Southwest Regional Rehabilitation Center may submit their concerns in writing to the Joint Commission at the following address:
